American Choice a credit to Epona Scheme

Tuesday, 1 December 2020 | American Choice has been a value-added asset for Geisel Park owner Eddie Rigg and a syndicate that includes Todd Duffridge, Chris Chalwell and Ramsey Ismail.

The All American filly was an early-season 2yo winner at Ascot and has doubled up this term at Northam.  She has earned $196,500 and that includes Westspeed bonuses of $60,500 plus Westspeed Epona credits of $7,080.

American Choice (pictured) is trained by Simon Miller and has followed the leader before peeling off heels in both wins under apprentice Keshaw Dhurun.  The judge’s margin has been the only difference in the Avon Valley.  She scored a neck last month before cruising home by more than three lengths on Thursday.

Geisel Park stallion All American sired American Choice from Elle Choisit (Choisir) who won 7 races around the provincials before signing off with a city victory at Belmont.  Her 2yo Vert de Grece filly Green Choice is in work with Brian Rogers at Lark Hill.

Westspeed Epona credits can be redeemed in retirement to pay for service fees to any Westspeed Platinum sire.  RWWA is supporting race-winning mares in Western Australia and the credit scheme is designed to enhance the local thoroughbred breeding industry.
