AYSAR

Deep Field x Miss Interiors by Flying Spur

Chestnut I 2017 I 16.0 ½ hh

Bred to be a Stallion

World Thoroughbred Ranking: 115 (in 2020)

Aysar has a pedigree to behold and would rank as he best-bred sires to enter stud in WA for many years. His mating was carefully planned, as he is inbred to six of the great mares of all time Fanfreluche, Somethingroyal, Rough Shod and her granddaughter Special, Rolls and Natalma, Aysar’s future at stud seems almost guaranteed.

He joins only Cosmic Force and Portland Sky as sons of Deep Field at stud and offers opportunity to continue the dynasty created by his remarkably successful sire now at the completion of his stud career. Aysar is a half-brother to the highly regarded Coolmore Stud prospect Home Affairs (Fee $110,000) and his dam Miss Interiors (Flying Spur) is a half-sister to the boom Newgate Farm sire Russian Revolution.

Aysar proved to be a first-class racehorse winning at two years, Group 1 placed beaten less than half a length by Ole Kirk in the Gr.1 Caulfield Guineas and twice Group 3 placed in six outings at three years. He trained on to aged five winnings the Listed Chautauqua Stakes last spring, earning over $700,000 and proving racetrack longevity, which is a priority factor in selecting a sire to be successful at stud.

Purchased by world renowned bloodstock agent Angus Gold at the 2019 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale on behalf of the late Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s Shadwell Stud for $260,000.

QUOTES

“Physically, Aysar is a great type, I think he’s always the pick of the yard – he’s a grouse sort” MICK SHARKIE, Leneva Park
“With the blood he has and the ability he had, you have a star” JD HAYES

Aysar is a horse I know really well, having purchased his dam Miss Interiors for $825,000 with him inside. So I’ve followed him from birth. He was a gorgeous yearling who showed an abundance of talent on the race track. His pedigree has exploded being a half-brother to the superstar sprinter Home Affairs and his dam is a half-sister to the great stallion Russian Revolution. Aysar is one of the most exciting stud prospects to retire to WA for many years. He has the looks, the talent and the pedigree to succeed”. DAMON GABBEDY, Belmont Bloodstock

‘’Aysar is the best credentialed sire prospect to cross my desk in the last 10 years or more. I feel most fortunate to have been able to secure a horse of his quality to stand in WA. He presents a rare opportunity on all fronts & will suit the vast majority of mares in the State on both type & pedigree compatibility inbreeding to six of the great mares of all time.’’ JOHN CHALMERS

“Leneva Park will be sending mares west this season and we’re committed to supporting Aysar. He’s got the pedigree – he’s half to Home Affairs, closely related to Russian Revolution; it’s a great family. If he produces foals like himself, they will have the attention of buyers around the country. MICK SHARKIE, Leneva Park

“Aysar was blessed with natural speed. He won as a 2 year old, was a Gr.1 performer as an early 3 year old and trained on to win the Chautauqua Stakes as a 5 year old. Aysar was wonderfully sound and clean winded.” BEN HAYES
