Geisel Park signs French 2YO Group 1 winner Vert De Grece

Geisel Park Stud owner Eddie Rigg has flagged his plans to upgrade Western Australia’s stallion ranks with news of his new arrival Vert De Grece (Ire). A Group 1 2yo winner of the 2014 Criterium International (1600m) at Saint-Cloud, Vert De Grece is a son of Verglas who has done so well promoting the Grey Sovereign sireline in Australia and France.

Perth Star for All American

American Star was sent to Perth to help promote Geisel Park sire All American and he began fulfilling that job description on Saturday. Ridden back in the field for the first time this preparation, he burst through a gap in the final stages for a narrow victory in the Mumm Champagne Hcp (1000m) at Ascot.

All American colts popular in Adelaide

Friday, 17 March 2017 - Geisel Park sire All American completed a successful Adelaide Magic Millions with a Book 1 colt that made $70,000 and Book 2 colt that topped the leader-board at $56,000. Champion trainer Darren Weir secured the All American – Illusionary colt (Lot 115) for $70,000 from Arrowfield Stud on Tuesday. He’s a younger brother to Invisible who won his maiden at Canterbury before transferring to Hong Kong for further victories at Sha Tin and Happy Valley this season.

Timely win for American Time

Geisel Park stallion All American has made an impact in his first season at stud in Western Australia. He was the State’s busiest sire covering 113 mares to pip Alfred Nobel at the top of the popularity stakes in 2016.
